Deleting your Skagry account
You can delete your Skagry account yourself at any time, in the game or on this website. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
Sign in in the game or on this website and open My account in the account menu at the top of the page. At the bottom of the page choose Delete account, read what happens, type your user name to confirm and press Delete my account. If you have an active subscription, the confirmation tells you where to cancel it first.
If you lead an alliance, hand it over to another member or disband it in the game first: an alliance is never left without its leader.
If you cannot sign in, write to support@skagry.com from the e-mail address of your account, or tell us your user name. We confirm that the account is yours and delete it within one month.
What is deleted
Your account: the user name you sign in with, your e-mail address and password, the links to Google and Steam, every signed-in session on every device, your profile settings (language, region, time zone, formats, birthday), and your profile description and uploaded picture.
Your name, wherever other players see it: in chat messages, channels, alliance applications, battle reports and scouting reports it is replaced by an anonymous call sign such as #1234. The name becomes free, and anyone, you included, may take it for a new account.
What is kept, and why
Your commander stays in the galaxy under the call sign, with no link to you: its planets, fleets and history are part of other players’ game. The galaxy treats its estate as that of a commander who no longer plays.
The text of the chat messages you wrote stays in other players’ conversations, under the call sign.
Records of purchases, payments and CC are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically six to ten years, and are no longer linked to any account.
The record that you accepted the Terms of Service — which version, a fingerprint of its text and when — is kept to defend legal claims, under an internal identifier that no longer leads to you.
Server logs with IP addresses are kept for up to ninety days, and copies in backups until the backups are replaced in the ordinary course. Our correspondence with you is kept for up to three years. The details are in the Privacy Policy, sections 7 and 10.
Subscriptions and purchases
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first where you bought it: in Google Play, in Steam, or in the Store on this website, under Inventory. Otherwise it keeps renewing.
Your game progress, CC and items are lost with the account and cannot be restored or moved to another account.
